Hairstyles

Loose waves with bangs:

This is definitely one of the best hairstyles for short hair. Here’s how you can do this one at home:

  • Apply some mousse to damp your hair prior to styling.
  • Wait for a while for the mousse to dry.
  • Sweep your bangs to one side or keep the neat bangs across the forehead.
  • To add more style, grab a section of your hair around the crown, comb your hair to the back and create an up-do.
  • For a more appropriate evening party look, take all the hair to one side and make a messy bun.
  • After you have created the loose waves try making a messy braid or a fishtail braid.

Party Hairstyles

A Crown of Curls:

A great look, all you need for this one is some bobby pins, mini hair elastics, a tail comb & hair clips. Simply follow these steps:

  • Create a front section of hair all the way around your head from ear to ear using a tail comb.
  • Clip back the rest of your hair to keep it out of the way.
  • French-braid the front section of hair along the hairline beginning at one side of your head.
  • Continue the French braid, adding more hair to each strand as you go along.
  • Once the braid is at your ear, make a traditional three-strand braid to the end of the hair.
  • Use a mini hair elastic at the bottom to hold the braid in place.
  • For a thicker braid, gently pull each strand apart so the weave isn’t too tight.
  • Lift up the braid up over your head, flush against the French-braided section, until the end reaches the opposite ear.
  • Pin back any extra hair in the front that wasn’t woven into the French braid.
  • Unclip the rest of your hair and tangle it in the front.
  • Use a bobby pin to secure any parts of the braid If you need

A Classy Pony:

Classics are classics for a reason, eh? Perhaps the simplest hairstyle for short & medium hair is a classy pony:

  • Split up your hair into two even sections, one in the front and one in the back, and tie the back half into a ponytail.
  • Pulling the right half of the front section across the back of your head over your hair tie, pin it on top of the ponytail to cover the elastic.
  • Pull the front left section across the back of your head, draping it over the ponytail, and pin it securely to your head.
  • And. done!
